I cannot recommend GPG Masonry highly enough. I hired them for what we thought was a straightforward chimney reconstruction, but once they opened the chimney up, they discovered significant, unexpected issues hidden behind the old brickwork. Instead of delaying or abandoning the project, GPG handled the entire situation with absolute professionalism. Gary clearly explained the problem, and presented a solid, expertly thought-out solution along with a transparent and fair update on costs. Gary’s skill and craftsmanship are truly top-tier. He worked alone on this project and rebuilt the chimney flawlessly, matching the aesthetic of my home perfectly, and the final structure looks incredibly solid and safe. Despite the unexpected hurdles, Gary worked with patience and precision and left the entire job site completely spotless. Gary was amazing! He really cares, and knows, about his work. He has also excellent communication skills. He came to do the work when he said he would. And it was all a pleasure to work with him. But the real kicker happened when I had a scare a week after he took down and rebuilt the chimney: a rushed paint job over some water damage caused by the previously leaking chimney made it seemed like there was still some water intrusion. He immediately called me back, came all the way to Provincetown from Mashpee to thoroughly investigate what was going on. When he figured it out, and it was in no way related to his work, he went over and beyond (including a trip to the hardware store and experimenting with some DIY) to leave things in a better state than he had found. Would recommend working with him hands down.

Gary and his team did a wonderful job on the masonry work I needed done on my chimney, brick steps and kitchen. His response time was exceptional. He took the time to listen to what needed to be done and assess the situation himself and applied his expertise. He and his team put in extra effort to correct a problem that I wasn't even aware of which was very much appreciated. He is affordable and stands by his work. The very best mason in the area. Gary treats his clients like family and truly puts integrity into all of his work whether it is a small repair or full chimney rebuild. He is responsive and was accurate in diagnosing our leaky chimney while other companies did the bare minimum. Multiple masons recommended repairs that were not even necessary and would have wasted us thousands of dollars. We obtained multiple quotes for a repair, and Gary’s expertise was far more apparent than other masons in the area. We will be using him again for any needed masonry.

GPG Masonry recently demolished and rebuilt our chimney on Cape Cod. From the initial quote and 'diagnosis' for a demo and rebuild, to the finished product, I felt a sense of ease. Gary took time to explain the process, the bricks used, and what we could expect. At one point, I was not sure the style/color brick was something we wanted. We have had quite a few issues and leaks with our chimney over the years since we bought our home 5 years ago. My husband and I are so relieved we found Gary and his team to put our sad chimney out of its’ misery … and ours. Just couldn’t be saved and that’s okay by us. We chose to remove and simply use gas insert. Gary is super professional, a man of his word and a pleasure to work with. We had full confidence in him that he’d get the job done right.And he did.
